The Old Course at St. Andrews is the oldest golf course in the world. The Old Course is a public course on common land at St Andrews, Fife, Scotland, and held in trust by the St Andrews Links Trust in an act of Parliament. The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews (R & A), club house is located next to the tee, although it is one of the many clubs that have playing privileges on the field, along with the general public.
